Kevin Durant Highlights

When Kevin Durant was drafted by the Seattle Super Sonics in the 2007 NBA Draft, high expectations were placed on the young skinny forward out of the University of Texas.  No one could imagine he would exceed the hype.

Throughout this year’s playoffs, Kevin Durant has played exceptional basketball as he continues to assert himself as one of the premiere stars in the NBA.  Saturday night against the Los Angeles Lakers, Durant sank a three pointer that won the game.

This win put Oklahoma 3-1 series lead in the semi-finals of the Western Conference playoffs.

Many say the series against the Lakers was a sign that the torch was being passed from Kobe to Durant.  Monday night in Oklahoma City, the Lakers faced an elimination game. In order for them to win the game and keep their playoff hopes alive, they needed to slow down the Durant and the Thunder.
